It is important to remember that thunderstorms can develop quickly and with little warning.  Lightning can also be present in significant amounts even when NexStorm is not tracking any structured thunderstorms.  Seek proper shelter well in advance of approaching lightning whenever possible.  Environment Canada has a good page discussing lightning safety.  A link to Environment Canada is provided at the bottom of every page.

TRAC Report
A detailed text report of all thunderstorms NexStorm is tracking.  This is a text report generated by NexStorm and uploaded to the SaskLightning website every 15 minutes or so.

Thunderstorm Report
A detailed graphical report of all thunderstorm activity being tracked by NexStorm in table format.  A red significant thunderstorm activity warning will be displayed when NexStorm is tracking thunderstorms of Strong or Severe intensity that approach within 100 Km of Saskatoon.  When this warning is displayed, pay special attention to developing weather in the Saskatoon area, monitoring local news if possible for alerts.

Note:  There can be thunderstorms close to or above Saskatoon without triggering a warning.  The warning criteria is set for more severe storms.

Mini Thunderstorm Report
A simplified text format of the detailed Thunderstorm Report described above.  Clicking on "See Thunderstorm Report for details" will open the detailed Thunderstorm Report.  An OFFLINE message will be displayed if the SaskLightning detector appears to be offline.
